A look behind the lens

I am a Nebraska Native, I have lived in Lincoln, NE since 1987. I moved to Lincoln shortly after nursing school in Kearney, NE and started my career at Lincoln General Hospital. I worked in pediatrics and have a love for children, but I also love for the geriatric population. I became very interested in photography after I lost my 14-year-old daughter and I felt I didn't have many pictures of my kids. I started my career in photography working pictures for the hospital for babies born at rest, kids who live at the homeless shelter so they could have senior pictures, I wanted to ensure they could get pictures regardless of their situation.  I Lost out on the moments that meant the most, but love making sure I can capture those moments from here on out. 

I love spending time with my husband Jerry and our blended family. I have three boys and a amazing stepdaughter and am a grandma to 12 wonderful grandkids. We are big Husker fans! My husband and I love attending the home games at Husker Stadium.   I have a teacup Morkie named (Fynn), he goes to work with me every day and is a companion to the elderly.  I love to travel and meet new people and when I want to really destress and go off the grid... I travel with my photography friends to places that has the best wildlife. Africa, Alaska, Montana, Colorado, South Dakota and Minnesota. My favorite animals are Fox, Bears, Moose, Wild Horses, and Great Gray Owls. I've included a few below so you can see my passion as a wildlife enthusiast. 

I have been a photography judge for the Omaha Camera Club and The Nebraska State Fair helping judge over 1100 images in 2025. I am one of 7 photographers who make up Oak Creek Studios in West Lincoln.
